Terms and Conditions

Please read these product terms and conditions carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law and set out the terms under which Rapid Platforms Limited makes the products available to you (“Product Terms”).

  1. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.  Any such amendments will take effect when posted on the website (see date at the top) and it is your responsibility  to read the terms and conditions on each occasion you use this website and your continued use of the website shall signify your acceptance to be bound by the latest terms and conditions.

  2. Prices
The prices payable for the items that you order are clearly set out on the web site.  If, by mistake, we have under-priced an item we will not be liable to supply that item to you at the stated price, provided that we notify you before we dispatch the item concerned.  All prices are expressed exclusive of VAT, which will be charged at the prevailing rate, and payable unless otherwise stated.  The price of the items does not include the delivery charge which will be charged at the rates applicable at the date you place your order and which will be displayed in your ‘cart’ after entering your contact/delivery details.
Product information is included on the site and if there is anything which you do not understand, or if you want more information, please contact our Customer Services on 01279 501501

  3. Availability
Only items which are in stock will be shown on our site.  However, occasionally we may be unable to supply a particular item.

  4. Acceptance
There will be no contract of any kind between you and us unless and until we actually dispatch the goods to you.  Your order is an offer to buy from us.  Nothing that we do or say will amount to any acceptance of that offer until we actually dispatch the goods to you.  At any point up until then, we may decline to supply the goods to you without giving any reason.  At the moment that the goods are dispatched (and not before), a contract will be made between you and us.  Where items are dispatched separately, then our acceptance of the order in respect of each item takes place when that item is dispatched.

  5. Delivery
Please note that we can only deliver products within the UK mainland at the costs given on this website.  For deliveries outside of the UK mainland please contact us for costs and lead times.

We do our best to secure delivery within 48 hours for orders we receive by 1.00 p.m. but shall not be liable for loss occasioned by delay in delivery arising out of any cause beyond our control.  Some items may be delivered direct from the manufacturer or our suppliers.  Please note that once the delivery of the items has been arranged directly with the manufacturer or supplier, you will be subject to the manufacturer’s or supplier’s delivery policy.

All goods must be signed for on delivery by the cardholder.  If the cardholder is not  at the address when the delivery is attempted the goods may be retained by the driver, in which case the driver will leave notification of attempted delivery and details of where the package will be stored awaiting collection or of how to rearrange a more convenient time for delivery.  In the latter circumstances, if we have to return to deliver the goods, a further delivery charge may become payable.

  6. Cancellation
You have a right to cancel your order up to 7 working days after the day following the delivery of the goods by calling our Customer Services department on 01279 501501. In the event that the goods have already been dispatched at the date of receipt of your cancellation of the order you must return the goods to us and after receipt by us we will credit your credit or debit card with the price of the goods within 30 days beginning with the day on which we have received the cancelled goods.  If you do not return the goods within 30 days of your notice of cancellation, you will be deemed to have accepted the goods.  This does not affect your statutory rights.

  7. Returns
We hope that you will be happy with your purchase but should you wish to return any item(s) please follow the instructions below.
When returning products we recommend that:

    a. You use a carrier that offers shipment tracking; and
    b. You insure the package for its full value.

If you choose not to follow these recommendations we regret that you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the product during transit.

We regret that we are unable to accept returns of the following items:

    a. Personalised goods that have been specifically configured to a customer’s specification.
    b. Any software where the seals have been broken or tampered with.
    c. Any headsets where the packaging has been broken or tampered with.

  8. Non-faulty items
If there is no fault, please return the goods within 14 days of receipt.  If the goods are returned un-damaged in their original and undamaged packaging, we will exchange them or offer a refund based on your original payment method.

To return an item please in the first instance contact our Customer Services on 01279 501501 to obtain a goods returns reference.  Any costs of returning the goods are payable by yourself.  All non-faulty items should be sent, suitably packaged, to Rapid Platforms Ltd, London Road, Spellbrook, Bishops Stortford, Herts, CM23 4AU.  Please also include a copy of your proof of purchase within the returned parcel.

Every product carries a manufacturer’s warranty for a minimum of 12 months.  Where a fault develops with the item(s) more than 14 days after delivery we will arrange for the item to be repaired under the terms of the manufacturer’s warranty.  Where the manufacturer operates direct product support and warranty repair procedures, you must process the claim directly with the manufacturer, or the manufacturer’s third party agent, after being advised to do so by our Customer Services.
All returns for repair should be returned with proof of purchase.  Failure to provide this proof may result in the repair becoming chargeable.  Repair turnaround time is dependant on the relevant manufacturer’s current workload.  We will not accept claims for losses due to a product’s downtime.

Service estimates for products not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty will be chargeable.  An estimate will be forwarded to the customer by method agreed between you and our Customer Services at time of notification of fault by the customer.  Confirmation of acceptance of the estimate is required within 14 days.  Where acceptance is not received, the product will be returned to the customer not repaired and a service charge of £30 will be payable.  The manufacturer may void the warranty and charge for the repair if in its opinion the fault has been caused by malicious or accidental damage or misuse.

  9. Payment
You can pay by any MasterCard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, Switch, or Solo card.  Your credit/debit card details will be encrypted to minimise the possibility of unauthorised access or disclosure.  Authority for payment must be given at the time of order.  You will be charged for items when you have submitted your order.
Our liability to you in connection with any order will not exceed the total price charged for the relevant items.
We accept orders only from Web browsers that permit communication through Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, for example, 3.0 versions or higher of Explorer and versions 3.02 or higher of Netscape.  This means you cannot inadvertently place an order through an unsecured connection.

  10. General
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts.
If any of these Terms is held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, this will not affect the validity of the remaining Terms which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

  11. Customer Services
We do not file details of your order for you to subsequently access direct on this website, and therefore, please print out these terms & conditions and the order confirmation for your own records.  If you wish to obtain specific details of your previous orders you can do so by contacting our Customer Services.

If you have an order query please contact our Customer Services on 01279 501501 or via email at shop@rapidplatforms.co.uk (9.00 – 17.00, Mon – Fri).
