Rapid Platforms is an accredited Training Centre for the International Powered Access Federation offering courses on all the MEWP categories shown below at Operator, Demonstrator and Instructor levels.

Courses last 7-8 hours, combining a morning of theory with a written test and an afternoon of practical training and assessment, with a Powered Access Licence and IPAF issued Certificate of Training for successful candidates on the categories chosen.
Courses are normally held at our Training Centre near Bishops Stortford (map link) and can be held on site if you have a classroom with tables and chairs, projection screen, sufficient training area, and the appropriate category of MEWP.
Courses cost from £165 to £365 depending on location and category.
Detailed joining instructions are sent both to confirm bookings and to advise the candidate on the programme and timings. It is our standard policy to request full payment for courses before the date of training.
The course follows the syllabus of ISO 18878 'MEWP Operator Training' and is accepted by the Major Contractor's Group and other UK authorities and is recognised throughout Europe, Australia and North America.
PPE required for this course is normally safety shoes, waterproof/cold weather hi-viz, body harness with an adjustable restraint lanyard. Certain categories may require different items which will be listed on the joining instructions. Suitable harness and lanyards can be purchased from Rapid at the start of the course.
