training - LOW LEVEL PUSHAROUND PLATFORM
With the arrival in the marketplace of new and simplified platform systems, such as PopUps and Razordecks, Rapid Platforms has developed a shorter, simpler training course than is available from other nationally accredited training authorities, but which still provides the candidate with “adequate and specific” training covering the use of these small and simple platform systems, and meets the requirements of The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations, and Work at Height Regulations.
Instead of 6-7 hours, our course takes only 2-3 hours, includes a classroom theory element covering legislation, employer/employee duties, equipment pre-use inspection, correct operating methods, and emergency rescue, and the theory module ends with a written multi-choice test paper requiring an 80% pass mark.
The practical module requires every candidate to prove his/her capability to use the chosen platform correctly and safely, and successful candidates receive a photocard and training certificate, valid for 5 years.
Whilst the practical module is given on the client’s own equipment, the principles of safe and correct operation apply to all similar equipment, and the training is considered as sufficient for use with other platforms after suitable familiarisation.
Basic course costs are £500 for up to 6 candidates (minimum), with £75 per additional candidate up to a maximum of 12.
Training can be carried at our Spellbrook Training Centre, or on site, if you have the right classroom and training areas available.
