MEWPs for Management course.
M4M was introduced in 2007 aimed at supervisors, managers and directors responsible for employee/operatives using MEWPs.
The course concentrates on legislation, (Health & Safety at Work; Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regs; Lifting Operations Lifting Equipment Regs; Work at Height Regs, Management of H & S at Work Regs); MEWP selection, maintenance and support; site surveys, Risk Assessment, and the information required by the MEWP Operator for successful and safe MEWP operation.
The candidate is introduced to ISO 18878 (MEWP Operator training); BS 8460 (Approved Code of Practice - MEWP Operations) and carries out classroom exercises for MEWP selection.
Candidates are also offered the opportunity to try operating a range of MEWP types (under supervision).
The course costs £195.00 and lasts for approximately 6 hours, successful candidates receiving an IPAF Certificate of Training.
