MEWPs for Managers
The MEWPs for Managers eLearning course is designed for supervisors, managers and directors responsible for persons using MEWPs.
IPAFs MEWPs for Managers training course covers what managers need to know for safe and effective use of MEWPs on site, including planning the job, conducting a risk assessment, selecting the right equipment for optimum cost-efficiency and mitigating all possible risks. This course has been designed to be completed solely on eLearning, on compatible PCs and tablet devices. The course is available in English, takes 6 to 8 hours to complete and is broken down into manageable sections that you can complete at your own pace and can save and resume your training at any time.

Candidates are introduced to ISO 18878 (MEWP operator training) and BS 8460 (Approved Code of Practice for MEWP Operations).

- Planning the route before operating the MEWP Travelling the route and manoeuvring the MEWP.

- Basic operational practice
- Site surveys
- Selection and use of fall arrest equipment
